The ‘boho’ label comes from the word bohemian meaning someone who is socially unconventional, creative, artistic and one who doesn’t follow the rules. Inspired by a time of free spirits and hippy culture of the 1960s and 1970s to us it conjures up wedding dress designs which are perhaps not traditional. Forget stiff tailoring, tight fitting or big princess ball gowns with rigid lines, heavy patterns and symmetrical beading and bring on feathers, flowers, floaty chiffon skirts and sheath silhouettes.

Helga, style 69253, is a great example of a gown inspired by nature. It is made of floaty chiffon with a tulle bodice and features and illusion back and floral inspired beading. The dress comes with a removable lining and is photographed with our whimsical cape, sold separately as style number 69276.

Immacolata, style number 18317,  is another chiffon sheath gown. The bodice and long sleeves feature beautifully delicate flower, leaf and vine inspired appliques. This gown would look fabulous on short and petite girls, with minimal jewellery. We suggest it would go well with a bouquet of peonies and a butterfly themed wedding or a fairy-tale wedding with brown and nude bridesmaids dresses and a mushroom theme.

For a 1970’s vibe complete with Farrah Fawcett hair take a look at our elegant and romantic Nieves gown, style 69371. The long flared sleeves feature vine inspired patterns with just a tiny touch of sparkle and a cut-out on the shoulders. Made of crepe this gown is available in both white or ivory.

If your theme is all about the flowers then you must try on Nina, style 69309. This delicate lace, chiffon, tulle and organza gown is a work of art! With a deep v-neckline the bodice is covered in a patchwork of flowers which drop down onto the skirt at the hips. More flowers and petals gather at the scalloped hemline. This dress comes in white and ivory, but our favourite by far is the ivory/nude version.
