We had four dates for our wedding, thanks to covid, and we were delighted to finally have our rustic style wedding on 6th August 2021 at Lancashire Manor Hotel after being together since we were 13!

I really enjoyed all the wedding planning and shopping, I enjoy crafting so it was really enjoyable for me. Jacob came and checked out venues I liked and gave his input, but he was just excited for us to get married and didn’t care where it was. In the end we went for a registrar wedding rather than a church, and it was wonderful!

I had been to a dress shop and tried on a Ronald Joyce dress from a previous year that I liked but wasn’t quite right.  After 3 different shops and maybe 15 dresses, I went to Bride 2 Be in Leigh intending to try on the same dress… but I discovered the Ronald Joyce Diva Dress (Style 69555).

I knew I wanted something elegant and curvy, and the moment I tried this dress on I knew it was perfect. The straps, beading detail, lace and the train on the dress were out of this world and everything I had hoped for. I was absolutely in love with my dress and I’m sad the wedding is over as I want to wear the dress again and again!

The shopping experience was just lovely, and I was sold on my dress before I’d even tried it on.

Our wedding day had a few small hiccups- my bridesmaids got lost and nearly didn’t make it to the ceremony! Thankfully they arrived with a few seconds to spare. What’s a wedding day without hiccups? My favourite part of the wedding was just seeing my husband as I walked down the aisle and seeing all the months of planning coming together.
I was a bit gutted I couldn’t have my dogs at the wedding, but I had them on my wedding cake which made my day! I’m still in shock when I think of how wonderful and stunning everything was, considering everything that’s happened over the past year or so.

Everyone always says to remember to stop for a moment and take it all in, and I am so grateful we had time to catch up. We had a 10 minute drive after our ceremony in the wedding car with some champagne, and it was so nice to have that time together. We also had our top table just as us, which meant we were able to enjoy our meal on our own.

Our wedding photographer was Tracie Robinson Photography and our videographer was Andromeda Video Production.
