I met Liam on a Christian dating app called Salt and went for our first date at the end of lockdown in the beginning of 2021 and the rest is history!

He proposed in Malta on holiday. It was absolutely perfect. We were sitting on the beach overlooking another part of the island and there were fireworks and cannons going off. It was such a magical and special way to get engaged!

Where many people may find the act of planning their wedding a little scary, we absolutely loved wedding planning. To the point where I have considered it a future career move?!

We got all key suppliers booked within a couple of months of getting engaged and all our suppliers were fantastic, so we then just had a few final bits to do in the last few weeks. We decided that our reception would be at Lains Barn, which was perfect.

For us planning the wedding was smooth and painless and I thinks its because we had an idea of what we wanted going into it.

It was very important to us to have a Church wedding and it was so special that we were able to get married in our local church (St Marys Cogges Church) with a vicar who knows us both well. Our Vicar Andy cried because Liam was crying when I walked down the aisle.

When it came to picking my wedding dress, I was very open about the type of dress I was looking for. My mum, my sister (MOH) and I went dress shopping and picked out lots of different wedding dresses for me to try on. My dress happened to be the first one I tried! I of course tried on lots afterwards to be sure, but I always came back to THAT dress.

I only ended up visiting the one wedding dress shop because I fell in love with the first one.  I tried on. I of course tried on about 10 more afterwards just to be sure but I know that first one I tired one was the one. The bridal shop I went too was call Christina K Bridal boutique, Maidstone, Kent. We booked a private VIP experience, so got loads of cake and champagne to sustain us in our shopping. The women who helped us in the shop were so sweet and really helped us to pick out dresses.

I loved everything about my dress. The way it fell on me, highlighting my figure on the top and then flowing from my waist, which gave me a lovely silhouette. The modesty plunge neckline and cap sleeves made it perfect for a church wedding and we absolutely loved them! I loved the sparkles detail that covered the bodice we sublet floral detail. I also loved how to train gilding behind me, giving the dress a little movement without pulling me down or becoming to heavy. It was the perfect dress for my wedding.

Our wedding day itself was perfect! I had so many butterflies in the morning but wish we could go back and do it all over again knowing how smoothly everything ran.

Walking out of the church to ‘This Will Be Everlasting Love by Natalie Cole’, and seeing all our friends and family was an amazing feeling. We were absolutely beaming. Our family and bridal party followed us and then we had a little receiving line where we got to see everyone coming out of the church. Just thinking about it now fills my heart with so much joy!

One of my favourite things that we did was a have a large frame with a photo of us and large white mount that everyone signed. I wasn’t sure how well it would turn out, but it is beautiful and now hanging on our wall at home. Seeing what everyone wrote just fills us with great memories of the day.

If I had a little bit of advice for future brides, it would be this. Enjoy it! Don’t worry about all of the little things you will just stress yourself out. Take a break from wedding social media once in a while because it can be so overwhelming.

Thank you to Georgia and Liam for letting us share their story.

Sadly, Georgina dress is a style which is not longer avaibilbe but we have many similar alternatives, if there you are looking for a similar design.

If it was the dreaming lace detail that caught your eye, then Kimiko, Kara, Kimberly, Serendipity and Sakura might be perfect. If it was the sublet cap sleeves which stood out then Keahi, Kiara, Shannon and Winter. Maybe it was the silhouette which you loved, in which case we recommend Kamalani, Kaleb, Serenity and Samra
